Before I'm gone

My favorite article is from 2017.

It is about LeBron James having to now deal with Durant and Curry after having already climbed so many mountains to get to the top.

The article is ironic in a few ways. 2017 was the last year I was on the outside of politics looking in, oblivious to the communists marching through our institutions with impunity.

2017 was when I still CARED about basketball, about banging random women. I drank heavily, KIND of worked out. Mrs. Kong was just a twinkle in the night’s sky. I was a man without a boulder.

Every man or woman who wants to be worth anything has to find their boulder to push

Without struggle, there is no meaning. Wish I’d invented that phrase because it’s true. Without a struggle, a cause, something of meaning, what’s the point in any of this?

Will people 1,000 years from now care what flavor ice cream Biden ate yesterday? Who threw the most touchdowns? Which porn starts had a fake marriage to farm money on twitter?

One has to have a hill to climb, a boulder to push. I have a few:

• fighting the legal commies

• becoming a bjj black belt

• getting Toddler Kong to pee in a toilet

What are yours? Do you have any? If not, why not? I bet you are bored. Take up BJJ, start at Toastmasters, humiliating leftists on X. There’s always SOMETHING to strive for.

We face an uphill battle. By we, I mean normal people

It is going to be a WILD rest of this decade. Normal people have been getting pushed around hard, whether inflation, COVID, the trans nonsense.

However, the morons in power have no qualm about wielding it, and punishing their opponents.

For example, the guy who posted a few questionable things online and then was murdered and had his body dragged outside for all to see.

We have to be ready for what lies ahead. Train the mind, body, and spirit.

I’m about to head on my first vacation in four years. It is going to be epic, one way or another. I plan to rest and relax. I’ve never been good at “relaxing”, but one former partner framed it perfectly: “you are a battery, please re-charge”.

I suggest you also try and recharge before the weather turns cold (or fuck off if you live somewhere always warm, good for you to be SOFT).

Many battles lie ahead, whether internal or external.
