A Maniac is on the Loose
A Pennsylvania resident's (BowTiedGarden) take on the (formerly) escaped illegal immigrant in Pennsylvania
Note: Garden sent this to me yesterday, guy was captured a few minutes ago
What's it like having to deal with a maniac on the loose?Â
More specifically how does it feel that Danelo Cavalcante, the prison escapee sentenced to life for brutally murdering his girlfriend, is within 5 to 10 miles of my home? The short answer is that it feels like an inconvenience. If the reader would enjoy more perspective continue on.
For those unfamiliar with the goings-on in Chester County, PA here's a brief timeline:
1. August 31st, he escaped from Chester County Prison.
2. September 4th, he was spotted on trail cams at Longwood Gardens.
3. September 9th, he stole a van from a dairy farm.
4. September 10th, the van was located in East Nantmeal Township and out of gas.
5. September 11th, he stole a .22 rifle from a house or barn. The resident took a few shots at him but missed.
Now that the reader is abreast of the timeline here are the main players:
Danelo Cavalcante -- Sentenced to life in prison for stabbing his girlfriend to death. He's also wanted in Brazil for stabbing another woman to death
.
Deb Ryan -- Chester County's first woman and Democrat elected to District Attorney. She's in charge of this mess and failed to notify the PA State Police for 12 hours that Cavalcante had escaped. She's running for judge because, you know, she deserves it after letting a murderer get a 12 hour head start
Lt. COL. George Bivens -- in charge of leading the capture effort. This guy screwed up the hunt for Eric Frein in 2016 and was demoted. Well, he's back screwing up another hunt
The Hunters -- a combo of cops and feds with air support and loads of sophisticated technology whom have not been able to net a man with a will to escape
Chester County Prison -- had warden issues and a recent escape prior to Cavalcante.
I'd like to credit the below podcast that broke the 12 hour delay story.

Now you're all caught up on the details. In the Garden residence, we're more annoyed than anything else. Both my sons are living at home as well my son in law. We can protect ourselves. We aren't worried about the
escaped murderer; it's a feeling more akin to frustration, annoyance, preparedness and irritation. I'm not going to bash the cops and feds looking for this guy. It's a tough job with long hours and often in terrible weather conditions. The boots on the ground guys are just doing the job. It isn’t their fault that the inept Bivens couldn't plan for Cavalcante to visit his friends and relatives. My frustration lies in the political aspect of the entire event.
This guy is an illegal alien. His family are in the country illegally.
30% of the United States prison population is compromised of illegal aliens. This event highlights the damage and resource drain to US taxpayers cause by illegals. His sister didn't cooperate with ICE so all of sudden she's being deported. This demonstrates that we could deport those we don't want here and that the current system in place is a farce.
Chester County, in that area, is very wealthy and left leaning. There are many "no place for hate" signs on well manicured mansion lawns as well as supporting signs for BLM as they rampaged during 2020. Longwood Gardens was an adamant supporter of BLM.
They had to close for a day or 2 and lost lots of revenue. We had a membership there and I didnt renew it. The one story (I can't believe it) about the homeowner that flicked his lights 4 times to scare off Cavalcante is the norm there. Imagine being so impotent
that the best you can do is flick lights to protect your family. I'm angry that he managed to steal a gun from the residence of an armed man. At least he took some shots at Cavalcante and didn't flick any lights (for the love of God, secure your guns).
At first I enjoyed the residents there getting what they voted for.
As is often the case, the damage of leftist voters spilled into traditional Amercia. Cavalcante made his way towards Berks county and was spotted near the
Owen J. Robert's School District. This school district is about 10 miles from the Garden residence. We think he's in Pottstown (6 miles away) and might be trying to get to Reading, PA. Just a guess. Now, our school district has canceled after school activities and may close tomorrow. This simply adds to our frustration. I've been sleeping with one ear open and am bit more tired than normal but otherwise ok.
The lesson here is to protect yourself.
While we hope for a swift capture, we are also prepared in the event there isn't one. Cavalcante *is* a dangeroud man. I'm not out looking for a fight. The cops and feds are out there trying to get him and I'm hearing that bounty hunters may join the mix. I'm going to let them do their jobs while I do mine.
The government should put a $500,000 bounty on his head, dead or alive.
In the meantime, I'll be sleeping with one ear open.
I won't dismiss the danger Cavalcante presents to my community, but I'm not going to stop living my life. The Garden household will take prudent steps for security while be aware and more observant of our surroundings.
How would you feel reader if you were in the same position? How many dangeous people are on the fugitive task list for capture? This guy ain't the only one out there.
